Vishwa (Vish) Shah is the Chief Quality Officer of Viatris. He has been with Viatris and its legacy company, Mylan, since 2008.
Vish brings deep expertise across several critical areas of quality, including compliance, operations, auditing, remediation and external supply oversight. In his current role as Chief Quality Officer, he is responsible for guiding Viatris’ Global Quality strategy and execution.
Previously, Vish held roles of increasing responsibility in quality and manufacturing technical services at the site, regional and global levels. In his most recent position as Head of Global Quality Operations, he oversaw quality standards and compliance across all internal and external manufacturing and packaging sites globally. In prior roles, Vish served as Head of Global External Supply Quality and Supply Chain Quality, managing the quality oversight program for third-party contract manufacturers and in market quality operations worldwide. He also served as Head of Global Quality Audit, leading the execution of the company’s internal and external Good Manufacturing Practice audit program.
He also played a key leadership role during the merger of Mylan and Upjohn, serving as the integration lead for the Quality function.
Vish earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. He also completed the Viatris Executive Leadership Academy at Harvard Business School.
