Dr. Severino is an experienced corporate executive and drug developer, currently serving as Chief Executive Officer, and member of the Board of Directors, for Sarepta Therapeutics, Inc.
Prior to joining Sarepta Therapeutics, Dr. Severino served as the Chief Executive Officer and Director of Tessera Therapeutics, Inc., a private biotechnology company, and CEO-Partner of Flagship Pioneering. Before joining Tessera and Flagship, Dr. Severino held management roles of increasing responsibility at AbbVie Inc., including Vice Chairman and President. Dr. Severino was also the Senior Vice President, Global Development, and Chief Medical Officer of Amgen Inc.
