Lara Ramsburg is the Chief People and Corporate Affairs Officer of Viatris. She has been with Viatris and its legacy company, Mylan, since 2009.
Lara is a highly regarded industry veteran with more than 25 years of diverse experience building highly effective cross-functional teams and helping organizations fulfill their objectives through purpose-driven messaging and stakeholder collaboration. In her current role, she is responsible for overseeing the organization's global talent, total rewards, employee experience, people solutions and HR business partner teams, as well as protecting and advancing the company’s reputation, policy priorities and sustainability across multiple stakeholder groups through strategic communications and outreach strategies.
Previously, Lara spent more than a decade at Mylan in various executive leadership roles of increasing responsibility, including serving as Chief of Staff to the CEO and Head of Integration. Prior to joining Mylan, she was Director of Communications and subsequently Director of Policy for the West Virginia Governor’s Office. She also worked for leading organizations such as Rowan & Blewitt, an issue and crisis management consulting firm, and CNN News.
Lara earned a Bachelor of Science degree in communication from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, and a Master of Science degree in corporate and professional communication from Radford University in Radford, Virginia. She also completed the Viatris Executive Leadership Academy at Harvard Business School.
She has served as a member of the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board Advisory Group as well as company liaison to the World Economic Forum. Lara is also a recipient of the Distinguished West Virginian award.
