Melina Higgins joined the Viatris board of directors after seven years of service on the Mylan board, where she most recently chaired the Finance Committee and was a member of the Audit, Compensation, and Executive Committees. Higgins is the non-executive chair of the board of directors of Genworth Financial Inc., an insurance company, and serves on its Audit and Management Development & Compensation Committees. Higgins serves on the board of NextGen Acquisition Corp. II, chairing its Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee. She is also the non-executive chair of Antares Midco Inc. Higgins previously was a partner and managing director at The Goldman Sachs Group, serving as a member of the Investment Committee of the Principal Investment Area, which oversaw and approved global private equity and private debt investments, and was one of the largest alternative asset managers in the world. She also served as head of the Americas for private debt and co-chair of the Investment Advisory Committee for GS Mezzanine Partners funds. Higgins is a member of the Women’s Leadership Board of Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.
